Built by campers for campers
An innovative new camper designed specifically for families is about to hit the market. HIP Campers, a fully Bulgarian company, aims to provide comfortable and functional camping for those who love to travel and explore nature with their loved ones. The founders of the company realized the lack of amenities in many of the modern campers and decided to offer an alternative that meets the needs of families.
Weighing less than 3 tonnes when empty, HIP Campers offer light and airiness, wide kitchen worktops, large bathrooms, comfortable beds and smart pet and storage solutions. Seasonal comfort is a key aspect of the design, with every interior space being air-conditioned and exterior fittings suitable for a variety of weather conditions. Additionally, campers are designed to allow for "wild" camping for a period of time, depending on the level of equipment.
The creators of HIP Campers share: "Our vision was to create a family camper that would meet the practical needs of all family members - spacious enough to accommodate a family of 4, but still driven by a hobbyist. driver's license. A camper that offers enough space for two adults and two children on a cold day without pushing each other, but also a camper in which you can comfortably invite guests – the adults gather around one table and the children around another.”
The project is entirely Bulgarian, with interior and exterior design made by talented local designers. Assembly is done in Bulgaria, with the help of an engineering team based in Germany. Some of the components are produced in the country, while others are imported from Germany and Italy.
The first two prototypes of the 4Family family model are expected to be completed by the end of May, and the official presentations of the product will take place at Camping & Caravaning Expo 2024 in Sofia. In the future, the company plans to create two more models aimed at young couples and people of golden age looking for leisurely trips around Europe.
The prices of the 4Family model will start from around 150-160 thousand euros, and it will be possible to order additional equipment in packages or as independent extras. This includes 200Ah LiFePO4 (lithium) batteries, 400W solar panels, fully integrated air conditioning, a 200L clean water tank (120L dirty water) and many other extras. One notable optional package is the Smart Camper Package, which allows remote control of all systems, including lighting, waste water disposal, and more, via two touchscreens and a mobile app.
